Femcare
Drug Uses
Femcare is an antifungal medication. It prevents fungus from growing in certain infections like vaginal candida (yeast) infections. It may also be prescribed for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
How it is taken
Use Femcare exactly as directed by your doctor. Wash your hands before using the medication. Insert it (tablet/cream/suppository) into the vagina as instructed. Continue to use it even during your menstrual periods. You may also use a sanitary napkin to prevent your clothes from getting stained.

Femcare (clotrimazole vaginal) is an antifungal medication. It prevents fungus from growing in certain infections like vaginal candida (yeast) infections.
Missed Dosage
If you miss a dose of, then you may take it as soon as you remember and adjust the remaining doses accordingly. However, if it is nearly time for the next dose then you may skip this dose and continue with the regular dosage. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.
Storage
Store it at room temperature (between 68 and 77 degrees F (20 and 25 degrees C) in an air tight container protecting it from direct exposure to light, heat and moisture. Keep away from pets and children.
Warnings/Precautions
Discuss with your doctor about any prior medical condition that you may have including allergies to medicines, food or other substances and if you ever had symptoms of a vaginal yeast infection.
You must not take Femcare if you are allergic to any ingredient in it or if you have a fever, abdominal pain, foul-smelling discharge, diabetes, HIV, or AIDS.
If you are pregnant or suspect that you are, then stop using Femcare and contact your doctor immediately.
It is unknown whether is secreted in breast milk. Avoid breast feeding while using the drug.
Femcare should not be used in children below 12 years of age as the safety and effectiveness of the drug have not been confirmed yet.
Avoid wearing tight-fitting, synthetic clothing (e.g., panty hose) that does not allow air circulation. Wear loose-fitting clothing made of cotton and other natural fibers until the infection is healed.
Avoid getting this medication in your eyes, nose, or mouth.
Avoid sexual intercourse or use a condom to prevent the infection from spreading to your partner.
Possible Side Effects
Some of the common side effects of are burning, itching, irritation of the skin, and an increased need to urinate. Please contact your doctor if the symptoms persist or become bothersome.
Other severe side effects include (shortness of breath; closing of your throat; swelling of your lips, face, or tongue; or hives)
You must seek medical attention immediately if any of these side effects occurs.
